The Value of Service

WHAT IS VALUE?

Companies, and individuals within companies, provide value in so many ways.  It can come from specialized knowledge, having the right relationships, willingness to help, showing respect, and going out of their way to find solutions to a customer’s problem. Too often value is measured strictly in terms of dollars and that’s a shame.  This reduces the value of services to their transactional value.  That’s not to say that there is no monetary component to value. But usually a paid invoice is only the final link in a chain that started weeks, months, maybe even years ago. Value is received over time and culminates in a transaction, no matter how big or small.  At Evergreen Recycling, we concentrate on providing value with every interaction, so let’s explore the ways in which we bring value to you.

SHARED GOALS

The starting point with Evergreen Recycling is always the same:  how can we work with you to maximize the amount of recycled materials and minimize the amount of waste going to the landfill?  This starts with a free audit of the waste streams at your facility.  Part of the Evergreen value proposition is that we understand the reality of what is possible and what it takes to get there.  We start by listening.  Based on your stated goals for managing your waste we will work hard to put together a program that meets your desired goal.  If that is not possible, or if we believe you are underestimating your capabilities, we will share that with you as well.  Sometimes it requires specialty equipment.  As we like to say, “You bring the waste and we’ll bring everything else”.  We have a number of tools available to us to get you where you want to go. This can include balers, shredders, or other equipment that makes it more economical to handle the waste.

TRANSPARENCY

No recycling program is complete without understanding how it works by answering the questions, “Where are the costs and where does the revenue come from?”  Full transparency is one of our guiding principles. When we talk about recyclable material, it is important to understand that this is a commodity market.  Recycling plants like to have a steady flow of similar grade product coming into their plant for processing on a regular basis.  This keeps costs under control and keeps the value of the recyclable product steady.  Unfortunately, that is not the way the world works and the price of recyclables, like all commodity product, varies in the marketplace. We provide a monthly status report showing all of the costs and revenues and current commodity pricing for recyclables.  If it is possible that you can do something to make your recyclable material more valuable as a commodity, we’ll let you know your options.

FLEXIBILITY

Evergreen Recycling is dedicated to sharing information and educating their customers about what is possible.  We also know that things can change on a daily basis, so we are ready to accommodate that.  If you need an unscheduled pick-up you can give us a call and talk to a real person who can take care of you, or send an email directly to our dispatch email account and you will get a prompt response to take care of your needs.  We consistently are able to service unscheduled pick-ups within 24 hours of receiving notice.  In addition, we will review with you, on a monthly basis whether or not your recycle program is meeting your goals or if you goals have changed.  In either case we are happy to make suggestions and work with you to make adjustments as necessary.  Our business is built on relationships, and your needs matter to us. Each account is unique and flexibility is key.

BUILDING FOR THE FUTURE

Our vision is to make the world a better place, not just through recycling, but through establishing relationships, meeting the needs of our clients, being a source of education about what’s possible in recycling and working with integrity, transparency, and flexibility.  We do this by listening to what our customers want and being responsive to their needs.  This means we:

  • Have a live person to answer your calls
  • Provide prompt pick-up service
  • Produce detailed waste reports
  • Be a resource for education in recycling
  • Cost relief for your recyclables by getting them out of landfills
  • Regular communication and
  • Value-based relationships

As we said from the start, Evergreen Recycling is committed to adding value to all of our relationships through our knowledge and experience, but also through listening and transparency. Give us a call for a free waste audit and see for yourself.  Evergreen Recycling means added value for you and your business, starting today and continuing for the future.
